"Valerie was kind enough to present her portfolio to a group of new UX Designers. It was quickly evident how great of a communicator Valerie is. She articulated her thinking that has led her to successful outcomes in an encouraging way for students (which as a former teacher myself, I must name that skill is quite rare).

Hi, I'm Valerie 👋
UI/UX designer living in Los Angeles with 4 years of experience.
As a UX Designer with a Marketing background, I view design as more than just what happens inside a product, but also a journey that begins before someone even interacts with it and continues long after. I think about the choices users make, the behaviors behind them, and how design can guide and empower those decisions.
Besides design, I'm a wellness advocate and spend a lot of my time staying active through running, pilates, and trying new healthy recipes. I'm also passionate about mental health and love educating myself on emotional wellbeing.
As I immerse deeper into the world of UX/UI design, I'm especially excited about the role of AI and mental health, and how AI can create more emotionally intelligent user experiences.
